It used to be the case that software VPN was discouraged and limited per week, but if you had a Cisco router that implemented VPN in its hardware, such as you would get on MyWork, that was not limited. Is that still true? I never knew why HW and SW VPN were treated differently.
More like 2+ decades, since VPN was available.
I've been dodging that tracker (successfully!) since at least 2001.
And I'm not the only one. it's not hard to do as they only track during 8-5 within your home time zone.
We got an announcement in private bank that they will be starting to monitor #of hours per week connected to bank network to see number of hours in office and preventing coffee badging … another way to push attrition?

The network people are going to be aware of everybody logged in, no matter where they are, how they get in. So what?
What's the point of this fearmongering? We all know this isn't happening. It's badge swipes only.
We asked and were told that was not going to be happening. Have they changed their minds?
They have monitored VPN since there has been VPN. I remember getting those reports 15 years ago.

All the people they employ to come up with these ideas and to track this stuff...imagine if they actually had all these people doing the actual work of the bank instead?
