There's a major issue with Anthem leadership wanting to pay as little as possible for new people while still hoping to attract top-notch candidates. Nobody worth their salt is an id--t to take them up on that. Not to mention, if we offered higher salaries, we could potentially hire fewer employees. Not that anybody cares.

I go back a long time 20 plus and remember Angela Brawley… she and her team had values… Joe did a great job after she left…Gail is literally driving this company into the ground…bryony talks a great game but it’s smoke and mirrors. Let’s sing kumbaya while we gut your department…
To the person who posted about missing the Joe Swedish days....I agree with you!
This is all corp companies
A co-worker and I were talking about this recently.
I’ve been here 13 years and it looks like starting pay for the position I was hired in at is basically the same today as it was then- 13 years ago!
Also, the bonus % for new hires are a bit lower.
It definitely seems like someone up above came to the conclusion that we’ve been overpaying for talent and wants to make a correction.
@3hpu+1r9u3LbU. Where's Joe when you need him? I'm with you.. been with this place 40 years. Never seen it in such turmoil
I think it's time to leave. There is no future here. Glad I only wasted few years here.
American citizens replacement plan.
Here's the Road map:
Out source to vendors like IBM, Deloitte
Onshore contractors ( not employees, visa sponsored people on shore )
Hiring the above contractors now as employees
Having temp agencies come in during the peak seasons
People taking contracting jobs working for Anthem through contracting agency
Interns
OFF shore
New hires coming in being trained by the above.
Doesn't matter your degree or level expertise, you can't compete with this.
No knowledge required to get hired
We are finding any opportunity to fire workers and hiring new workers.
There is no good candidates, only good replacements.
Honestly I miss the Joe Swedish days this company use to have values and culture and you actually knew what was going on and there was a value towards employees. Gail has removed all of that in her tenure and as much as they try everything just seems like hallow words and the majority of talent that is left is unable to do even the basic functions of their role
This company let walk away some of the smartest people I've worked with my entire 30 year career. It's all about the bottom line here, nothing else. I regret the day I came to this organization. It's rotten from the top down.
They are actively getting rid of good employees with a lot of experience and trying to replace with cheaper labor. It’s a clear recipe for disaster but hey, the bottom line looks good right now.
