That would certainly make selling the combined company much more attractive.

Either Uniti and Windstream get back in bed, or they will end up in court again on Fiber Lease reup in 2027. Elliott is trying to mash it back together but as standalone companies so Uniti shareholders don’t file class action lawsuits about deal. If I had to guess who leaked talks I’d look at the top of Uniti. He knows what messiness there is and probably trying to avoid.
I'm sure the people have made all they can from the split of REIT. What happens when an accountant is a CEO. T made his money along with all the top of both companies. Now both su-k and nothing is to be had from either. Only option is to merge these turds in to one big pile and see who's interested. Nobody wants to be left holding the bag. Why the top took bonus cash instead of stock they knew what they were peddling.

Ohh the funny money wouldn’t have to change hands……. Uniti is worthless without Windstream. Windstream is nothing without Uniti. It’s putting back a network that never was broken apart. Uniti spends money to build, Windstream does the building and then does all maintenance. The blessing would be another Gunderman. Maybe they’ll convince Lil T and Max to come back and serenade the d-mbness
Isn’t Windstream a privately held company? That would make it difficult to value wouldn’t it? Wasn’t PS put there to try to sell it? Just thinking that it’s possible that they may be trying to get Zayo interested in making another run at them before the criminal minded uniti leaders can overinflate the value. Of course, they might’ve decided to go the other way, merge, form a new company, and try to turn around a plummeting fiber cable company whose fiber network contains a lot of junk! (No one ever asks the people who repair some of that garbage how bad it really is, think loss budget) Maybe they’ll get more government funding and install more satellite dishes to the rural community and claim they upgraded those people.
