Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

No point in worrying

We are all spending so much energy worrying over what is going to happen. Worrying now will not change the outcome. It is unfair and disrespectful that we have been kept in the dark for so long now, yet knowing that the big layoffs are coming. But don’t let that bring you down. Instead start thinking about new prospects in life, give yourself a break, take some well deserved rest if you end up being laid off. You never know what’s behind the corner. Losing a job here may end up being the best thing that happened to you. Better save yourself and your energy for whatever is coming your way next. All this stress? No workplace is worth it.

Well said. I came to xerox after a lay off with my previous employer. This is a much bigger issue than just at xerox. The country is in deep @#$% and worrying about things out of your control doesn't help at all. Start slinging your resume out there and hope for the best, or drive your self crazy with worry and anger.

No point worrying? Don’t stress? Hakuna Matata? Your guidance is diametrically opposed to xerox culture. Keep your herbal tea nonsense. It’s fight or flight… Increase the stress and the dividend!

But also I don’t want to put in work that’ll make X more money if I won’t be able to reap the benefits of it

JC said worrying won't add a cubit to your stature.
