Was PIPed also myself and later opted out. Somewhere (among the various email you get from CSTC/HR) is a training deck (may've been through onelearn/CBT), and I believe there's a specific mention there that C1 won't contest claims for unemployment in the case of a PIP. I was able to secure a new job before the end of my opt out period and no longer have access, so can't go in and totally verify this. If you still have access to your work email and intranet, go through your email and check the links to confirm.

Yes. I was put on a PIP, and filed and received ue benefits. Of course, you can.

File. They have too many layoffs to call in for every appeal request

Yes, you can get unemployment just file for it within your state. And you accuse them of wrongful termination and force them to go to an administrative judge to fight it.

Why? They will use every trick in the book against you with no morals attached. #Union

Good god please stop the knee jerk advice to claim “protected class” status when prompting people to fight against something. Unless you really are a protected class, it has no bearing on anything.

Yes. You just file and state it was a layoff. If C1 denies it you accuse them of wrongful termination and harassment because of your protected class.
