Chucks Time To Go

Chuck is great at numbers and explaining earnings. He is not good at leading by creating enthusiasm, and his either became distracted or is unsure of how to drive real innovation. Cisco is stuck, and acquisitions end up adding very little value or revenue. Time to take your golden parachute and jump buddy.

chuck is the sharpest tool in the shed. He'll tell you that his self. Unfortunately, the rest of the elt has this same demented level of self worth. News flash, the actual street value of the ENTIRE ELT is pennies on the dollar. I assume they have control of this board as well since a lot of posts and subjects seem to disappear depending upon who it's about (ELT) or what what it's about (DEE EEE EYE).

Although headquarters proximity is often ideal, some CEOs effectively lead from afar. Cisco's CEO operates remotely from Atlanta with HQ in Silicon Valley. While uncommon, strong systems and relationships can enable geographically dispersed teams. Location alone doesn't dictate success; leadership skills and strategies also play critical roles. Rather than focus solely on geography, also evaluate the CEO's vision, strategy, and ability to connect with employees. In Cisco's case, despite physical distance, their non-technical CEO has steered the once engineering-focused company toward an M&A approach, seemingly without a clear innovative vision. Proximity is just one factor; hands-on leadership and strategic direction remain essential for any CEO.

Buying world leading software companies, then destroying it through managing it like it is hardware devices needs to be fixed. Get rid of the leadership who are still focused on hardware, while Cisco transforms into a software company. Don’t destroy Splunk like the other software products that were bought before…
