IT is probably the main group. It’s based on low IT layoffs late last year (there were some), but mostly because they didn’t want to risk 1/1 implementations. Now that 1/1 is past and pretty stable prod environment, they’ll clean house.

what is this based on?

Are they doing an entire workforce reduction? Skimming off of all teams? What dept are you in to the person that knows?
so 2/22 and NOT at all 2/29?
Definitely 2/22. I’m on the list (and glad of it, actually asked for it). I’m not supposed to know, but I have a great relationship with my boss. Close enough to retirement that I can deal with it and someone else can keep their job. 26 years = 52 weeks severance.

Where did you hear this?
“It seems like they’re going to align the conversations with the annual review conversations. I think leaders know and can’t tell anyone yet out of fear of losing their bonus.”
Full time folks will be given a month beyond their notification date.
I would bet they will try to split up FTEs and contractors in order to lessen the impact on work.
Contractors getting notices now. Nothing for full-timers yet
What it sounds like is that the folks getting laid off for 2/29 are getting notices now.
surprisingly it seems like a lot of people are getting heads up for 2/29 already. From what I've read, it's contractors getting the notice for 2/29.
