Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

Is it no surprise that they layoff thousands of people and start blowing up with adverts that they are hiring. I highlighted this role because this has been my position for the last several years. They are soliciting for this role on LinkedIn for CA LOB and are saying the base salary is $15 hr which is minimum wage in CA (I know as I work this LOB). And they claim to be competitive? I can barely make ends meet off what they pay me and that's after 7 years. They are forcing FTE employees out the door in favor of contractors that they don't have to pay a fair wage or provide benefits for. Get out now while you can. You will be stuck in a position where your wages will never increase beyond the sorry 3% COLA they "might" give you. You will never move up unless you are in like flynn with someone internally. And before you chime in with the "if your not happy get another job" - some of us are not id--ts and aren't going to just quit without another job lined up. Believe me though the second I land something else I am gone like the wind.
