Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Finally waking up

Surprise surprise this is a company built on people .... It's taken Raul to snap them out of a hypnotic trance they were put under by Mike S. Look into my eyes, this business is a product business, sc--w the people.
We only sell people and if you don't look after the people then you are asking for revenue decline.
People deliver for customers... Happy customers means they are willing to spend more.
I take some hope from this town hall.

Look after your people and watch as revenue grows.

its quite simple - 6% a year is a reasonable average annual raise since DXC was founded in 2017, especially with recent high inflation (but admittedly lower in the earlier years).

No need to compound, just reduce each year the hours you "work" (are at least available to respond to work requests or read emails etc). So a 40 hour week would be reduced by 2.4 hours a week each year - so after 7 years thats accumulated to 16.8 hrs, leaving 23.2 hours to "be available to work" each week. So a nice 10am start, one hour lunch break and a 3:40pm finish should do nicely. Each year with no raise start each day 15 mins later and finish 15 mins earlier.

Simples.

Is it all too little too late? I've withdrawn my service. Just like everyone else, I can play the I'm busy game, and the cat eats my spreadsheets I swear! But what's being delivered other than hot air!? Meanwhile I don't feel obliged to be logged in till midnight. And oh look I still get the same pay rise as everyone else. This is a great gaff. Beware when you do want something actually doing, myself and my colleagues basically already quit and living the dream. It'll take more than 2% after 12 years to get us back on track!!

@1nrn+1r2D3pxG I'm glad to see people have finally woken and recognise how Networks operate.

We didn't get our raises, so we don't work , we get our pay another way, it's simple, and our managers support us.

You guys need to stand up to your managers who are aanal, especially the delivery ones who are so far up there own r-ses.

DXC recognition and all that are just loose change instead of pay rises. They won't give you a rise just bul and then later on "we didn't perform or hit our targets..."

So never a raise..

OP you are wrong. Mikey 2 was all about the people. He banged on endlessly about people. We got diversity days and group hugs on compulsory team meetings.

We just didn't get any salary increases or bonuses.

I expect nothing to change except probably following the rest of the IT world into massive job cuts just because that's what everyone else is doing...

Hope , you gullible as the board will never approve pay increases for you all. They are too greedy and want it only for themselves

I like Networks is only doing the bare minimum and taking every day of vacation I can.

Let the new CEO allocate his own storage

recognition by your peers a 1,000 points you may get a $37.00 air fryer. What they don’t tell you is the amount you “spend” is treated like ordinary income and you’re taxed on it. So if your like me I lose 27% on anything I trade those points for

Just stop the 1billon dollar buy back and use that money for bonuses to people who met some and exceeded some of their goals. Then start giving yearly pay increases for those who meet or exceed their personal goals. Otherwise f-ck you

DXC Recognition: At least we can get some new shoes

DXC Recognition isn't bonuses or money but a points system, where you can trade in you thousands of points for some unexciting household items. The points were suddenly and with zero communication removed last year all you could do was use the tool to say thank you, I kid you not. Which meant in a total shock to everyone in HR but to no one else, all of a sudden no one used it.

That's surprising to hear, can you add some more detail about what was discussed? Someone else here commented about the employee recognition system. Presumably this is for bonuses right? Was there anything else discussed?
