Any idea what’s the acceptance rate for the offers?

Any 2nd offer update? or new offers for those people who were to be made redundant but other people in there team rejected?
Accepted my severance agreement yesterday and it felt like a weight lifted. To be fair to BC they were true to their word and the agreement was exactly as they outlined in the consultation period.
Good luck to everyone that stays, I hope BC starts to treat you with the respect you deserve.
The stories and information posted here are artistic works of fiction and falsehood. Only a fool would take anything posted here as fact.
Brave to go " All in" on a game your not sure Hock even wants play
Those who accepted get what they accepted. Tough they didn’t play the poker face card. Is what it is.
Accepted the original offer. Sat here waiting for the revision to arrive for everyone, I mean they have been totally straight with everyone up to this point so why not !
How long do you need to accept an imaginary offer?
How long do you get to accept the new offer?
Yeah lots of reports now folks who initially declined offers getting more RSUs etc ....surely grounds for discrimination here? Maybe worth opening a few HR tickets
Just had my revised offer come through too. They’ve doubled the RSU offered initially. Not sure about taking it, the whole thing smells.
I rejected and this morning my revised offer came through. 40% more RSUs than original offer. I’m accepting. Shhhhh :-)
I’d imagine a select few get a revised offer but who knows with BC. Hock might say sc--w em. I’m not saying what’s right or wrong but there are some who declined that I’d want to stay. That is not want a competitor to get because they are so good
Well as long as the folks who get revised offers keep it to themselves and noone finds out we should be fine. Definitely not unfair on the other folks who accepted the first offers ...
No way would they keep quiet about it, and it’s unreasonable to expect them to do so. Everyone has been incredibly open so far, if people start having sudden change of hearts it will be painfully obvious.
‘ There will be no counter offers’
Incorrect. Staff who declined an offer that are classed as top talent, will be made an offer this week and told not to tell anyone about it
Agreed on large accounts the AEs role is crucial, manages the relationship & manages the account.
On the smaller accounts, where the AE has multiple accounts to look after. No there not crucial nor do they manage the account.
When the answer is how many cores of VCF do you want, now whats the question. The role of the AE will change and frankly will not be needed on the smaller accounts.
Rumour is many will get a second offer letter Monday/Tuesday. With managers saying the RSU allotment's are a mistake and will be corrected in the RSUs at the end of the year. (NO IDEA IF TRUE)
People who got offered severance, are being approached by managers asking if they want a role in there area where people have resigned. (All down to your network and if your wanted, not every person offered severance will be approached).
Lets see what happens over the next few days.
'Are we gonna struggle with a reduction of that scale? I know it’s not what BC planned.'
Sadly I think we will. Many of the roles retained are the likes of PSO and TAM. Great roles but not account owners like AEs. I worry things will fall apart. We must not be making much money at all right now, never mind talk of 200% growth. Many don't even know what customers they have now
Are we gonna struggle with a reduction of that scale? I know it’s not what BC planned.
Latest numbers from the UK
1032 employees in November.
- 321 roles made redundant
- 352 people rejected welcome letters
~65% of UK workforce are set to leave
It does feel like everyone has pretty much checked out. Things are very quiet, agree that people are just coasting until the cutoff date, for those of us staying there is no direction or strategy, no idea of any org structure.
Agree that there will be no counter offers. They’ve said all along that they won’t negotiate terms on an individual basis. And there are hardly any UK sales leaders remaining in post to push these through even if Broadcom were amenable to trying to retain some of the departing talent - they are all either on the piste for half term, or counting the days until March 16th when they can cut and run for themselves.
There will be no counter offers. The roles are being offered to those who were made compulsory redundant instead.
no counter offer yet
You guys in UK rock! You made the dictator bend.
Uh, how?

Its hard not to feel like this is what Hock wanted. Select a load to go, and upset a load so they take themselves out. The downside is, I worry for our customers and the UK business. Even what we'd consider the best accounts have seen catestrophic numbers going. None of that can be good for business, the account knowledge lost even if you do get a new hire in, and on that, lets be honest, if a prospect googles how its going or glassdoor, do they think they'd get people as good as us? I don't. All very sad, a lof of this could have been avoided by giving the P/M levels the same RSUs, we'd have still lost some but not most like it is now
If BC wanted people to go they would have laid them off and not made an offer, I think they genuinely thought people would stay and be grateful. They are in a bind as whatever they do risks influencing other countries yet to go through the process and upsetting those who have. Have spoken to a few people who were 50/50 and opted to sign and they have said if they'd have known so many people had declined they'd have gone the other way. If they resend offers, they could actually get less people accepting than before. So far they seem to be reaching out to key people but they'd be mad to change their mind for a few extra RSUs given the increased workload and stress with 2/3 of employees having left.
We don’t even know if there would be revised offers at this stage. It’s all speculation. But I’d assume the same time frame as originally.
Does anyone know, if you get a revised offer, how long do you get to think about it please?
Nothing stopped BC giving those people compulsory redundancy. If they wanted to get rid of them they could have made certain for the same cost, they don’t gain anything by people rejecting the offer, just uncertainty.
If they didn’t want people to resign, BC would’ve simply considered rejected offers as ‘notices’ and not paid out to incentivize people to stay. I truly believe that they hoped for significant attrition (up to 40-50% of welcome offers to be rejected), which BC is getting - but managers might not be enjoying a lot.
You guys in UK rock! You made the dictator bend. Too bad India and USA was too weak to do the same, instead they took the 20% pay cut like it was a gift from the king. There is power in numbers, remember that!
Even if they do give out those revised offers, they have to give them out to everyone don’t they?
Then in other EMEA regions that are still going through it, do they see BC has folded twice and realise they’re a bit of a soft touch?
There are credible rumours revised offers might be incoming...however most folks have decided even with improved offers (if they come, big if) they would not want to stay. That's a telling message and a lesson I hope is learnt
HT has discovered, the hard way, that financial incentives can't diminish the negative perception of what it's like to remain in a 'mindless treadmill' work experience at AVGO.
Take the offer to leave and find a job where you're truly valued as a person. Amen.
I have also heard that about 2/3rds are leaving as it stands, leaves BC in a bit of a pickle. No idea what they’ll do.
1/3 severance; 1/2 the remaining declined; So 2/3 leaving the UK as it stands.
Expect it'll change as bribes come out.

Hearing that after the crisis meeting the plan is to send out improved offers to those who have been identified as key individuals, but that will be far fewer than people thought, and it will also be covered by an NDA, just know if anyone suddenly changed their mind they’re bought and paid for.

"My data indicates 13.4% acceptance rate.
Maybe as high as 15.6%.
Still analyzing the data."
