Curious if anyone is hearing what the 20 hub cities will be?

Let’s talk about the disgraceful merit which everyone is complaining about. People in my circle received 1-2% and we are pretty pi---d since we don’t usually discuss this kind of thing with peers but common this was just beyond gross. Everyone is talking about it. Those on PBP get the short end of the stick. Elfio, we also work hard but get treated like red headed stepchildren.
They talk about hubs meanwhile the offices and infrastructure is 20 years behind. Laughable.
I heard from someone reliable that they will be the Mountain region - Salt Lake City, Flagstaff, El Paso, Omaha, etc.
Oh I can see it now. “I don’t live in a HUB so therefore I don’t have to come in”.
Hub or not... our mayor thinks we are losers...

Hubs? 20+ Hubs? Doesn’t sound like a Hub approach. Do they really know what they are doing or just trying to appease senior execs who don’t want to move to Miserable Minnesota.
I think leadership would have to be pretty stupid to invest in yet more real estate. Unless local politicians are giving out sweet deals I see that as a long term loss.
Besides haven't they been consolidating properties last 6 years..
They own 20 buildings in L.A. alone. Imagine how many employees are going to be forced into the office in that city alone. They can’t sell those buildings in this market. I was told recently that there will be 24 hubs. Each will have a unique requirement regarding radius you must live within to be forced to work hybrid. They will be taking into account commute times when determining the radius.
Knoxville for sure since they have started bringing Elavon folks back to the office. All signage outside the building will switch to USB
THIS IS PURE SPECULATION. I have no inside information.
The obvious hub city choices are places where the bank already has a substantial employee count. This category includes Minneapolis, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Milwaukee, Los Angeles, Portland and the like.
Logical next choices (guesses) are the largest metro areas in the country. Think of cities with major sports franchises like the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, and exclude cities in states where the bank does not do business.
Using this as a template, cities like Boston, New York, Atlanta, St. Louis, Dallas, Denver, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, and Seattle could be possible hub locations.
Short summary - look at the cities with the largest current concentration of existing employees.
