Ulf's email today, said very little but said alot... lol down to 2 VP's, basically 2 regions in field operations now.. puzzled... what does this mean and how does it change the business?

I'm wondering how long the people in local RF and field ops have left (along with other teams like NOC and higher levels of support). With Ulf being former Ericsson, and many former Sprint execs at T-Mobile, I can't help but think "managed services" is in the game plan. They get to offload thousands in headcount, make the "bottom line" look great. But at the cost of the network going to sh*t. When you outsource the network, you lose ownership of it. The people who are outsourced no longer want to stop at a cell site at 5:00 on a Friday to check on something.

I retired from Sprint during my 22nd year there. I could be wrong but what TMO is doing with the layoffs reminds me of what I experienced at Sprint. The years we were told there would be no pay increases were morale killers. Has TMO inherited failing leadership by taking on Sprint execs?

Edwidge is absolutely worthless but is the face that Sprint Mobile wants. In a normal merit based organization she wouldn’t be qualified to clean the break room. Even IF she was qualified, she’s too busy building her personal “brand” and accepting worthless awards to lead. Just look at her Workday and LinkedIn profiles….me me me me. I don’t know Hawkins so I can’t speak about him. Jennifer has been a decent leader in my experience.

I'm deeply disappointed with the direction T-Mobile is taking. It feels like there's a shift away from valuing merit and expertise, leaning instead towards gender and identity politics in making key decisions. This trend worries me, as it seems to put less capable individuals in charge, a scenario akin to a dystopian movie where intelligence isn't valued “ idiocracy”. In my experience, both men and women have shown excellent leadership when choices were made based on ability and qualifications, not on personal attributes like race or gender. The current leadership's approach is disheartening. My observations aren't something I can easily prove, so formal complaints seem futile. Even though the job market is tough, I'm actively seeking opportunities elsewhere. My fear is that the cultural and ethical erosion at T-Mobile may be irreversible.
