I don’t know. I feel a little uneasy after huddle today. Lots of talk about transparency. And I feel like my leader was saying things without really saying anything at all. I am not at all surprised by any of it, but just tell us!!

It's nearing the end of January. Any claims layoffs coming up in Feb?
There is no innovation here. They spent millions coming up with a new target state architecture and trying to build to it. When that became too expensive, the plan now is to take the old legacy system pig and put new UI lipstick on it. Nothing changes in the background and the servicing and cost issues around those legacy systems don't go away. But that's their bright idea.
The 'leaders' wasted all of 2023 staking out their territories. Now, the kids who staked out the most get to take us down a path the company has been down several times in the last 10 years. There will be no transparency. I noticed in the last two town halls that they're back to only answering softball, a-s kissing types of questions.
Watch your own back. These people don't have it and never did.
You should feel uneasy. It sounds like that leader was talking in code. Not good or remotely transparent, which is supposed to be a key attribute demonstrated and valued by the company.
Despite all the talk about large change in the Insurance Industry and all this innovation, it’s slower than ever in terms of business design that competes differently. Lots of new UI build to make what occurs today easier, but hardly new ways to truly process. Cost transformation at scale is occurring for sure thru labor arbitrage and low levels of automation, but simply cutting expenses is a path backwards.
Trust your senses when you hear a common theme without substance and most of all, don’t be afraid to ask good questions. It’s where clarity and true transparency or not…is created.
"Adapt to change" seems to be being said a lot more recently again
It’s like they are wearing body cams that record everything they say so that their bosses can make sure what they tell the grunts is what they want them to hear. Phoney Baloney through and through. You can’t trust any of them. They are protecting themselves only and they don’t really care about you.
"Leaders" at Allstate have a tell when they're lying: their lips are moving
