Title changes

Many in my department received title changes that are effective 1/14/24. What does that mean for those who didn’t get an updated title?

Click on your name in teams and it will show your title. You can then click on your org structure and see if anyone else in your team has changed.

Where are you all looking to see if there is a title change?

Thank you! I feared that is what it means. I’m sorry you were affected in the last layoff.

Those title changes are subtle indicators something is on the horizon. They did the same random title changes in September and didn't inform anyone before hand. The titles changed from being department specific, to either generic operations titles or a new team name you've never seen, followed by a new org chart from BM...fast forward 2 weeks and mass layoffs. I was impacted by the last layoff and I was the only person that did not have a title change...

What do you mean by title changes? Curious as to whether they are changing some titles because they are consolidating multiple job functions into 1 role. Does not necessarily mean people will be laid off but nowadays with this company that is a strong possibility.

Sounds like it. In another post on here someone mentioned next week (1/14) would be 60 days before the end of the quarter. So it matches up with a layoff timeline.

So no title change means layoff list?
