Interesting things happen at DXC. Was promoted and got a raise - great! What I was not told me was, that I would need to work longer hours. So, 5.26% of more work - just quietly assumed without anyone ever telling me. That ate a really good part of my raise. Had I know this, I would have
- declined the position
- declined the extra work during private hours being part of moving to the the position
- declined the raise that essentially was not much more.
"Funny" thing is, that I was even never granted the position in the end due to "process issues". But of course my extra hours were in the contract - and I was never notified about these. Hence I got the 5% pay cut due to moving up a level. Did the extra work. And that was it.
