I am sorry - I was impacted during the last round. It seemed like many people remotely were impacted and I didn't matter if you were a top performer. It seems that the people that are making these decisions don't really know the work that people actually do. I was the only that did what I did and from what I hear now they are scrambling to figure out where all the tasks I did should be done now.
For severance they have a formula: role x length of service. It basically comes out to 2 weeks per year in the role. That's if they haven't cut that already too.
FYI there is no minimum severance. It's based on how long you've been woth the company. State law required 60 days notice full pay and benefits. They can pay out the 60 days, have you work through it, or just sit it out at home on the payroll but not workkng
me too. from supply chain
I am part of GIS team
So sorry to everyone that’s impacted. Does anyone know what the minimum number of months for severance is? I have heard it’s at least 6 months. Is that true?
So sorry! What dept were you in?
I'm so sorry you and your wife were both impacted 😔
I’m so sad about this. 🙁
My wife is a former ILMN employee. Was laid off in the first round in November 2022. She just talked with one of her former colleagues who said the entire Medical Genomics Research department and most of its leadership is gone, both US and EU. A few people staying on for another six months to finish projects but they’ll likely be gone then too. Hundreds of people.
Which department? Can you provide more details?
