Hey there, we just laid off a good chunk of people in your department, here’s an insulting $25 gift card. LOL. Keep it and shove it up your @ss or put a couple 0’s behind it. Wanting praise like you’re doing anything. Comical and delusional, but mostly insulting.

… well let me tell you about the small bag of Hersheys chocolate (like 7/8 pieces) delivered via FedEx as a “holiday treat” lol
TODAY MY DEPARTMENT HAD A 5 HOUR PI PLANNING MEETING. THEY TOLD US TO EXPENSE LUNCH AT $25. Playing around with Jiras.
I think OP is saying stop acting as management that you’re helping or doing anything with a gift card. Nobody is busting their ba--s for $20. You expect several hundred hours of increased productivity at a shot of a team budget increase or like they said $25 and I get that. It’s pretty delusional. If anyone at C1 sees this, keep anything under $100 if you’re going to give something out. Nobody cares
Yes. They ask you to expense $25 lunch for attending important meetings. And when you deliver maybe send you a $25 or $50 SPOT award. And if you really deliver send you a cheap necklace in the mail as a token of appreciation.
At least a pearl necklace, let me know I am worth something.
Id rather take a cheap necklace.
Were there actual layoffs?
Are you talking about the $25 GrubHub coupons for attending meetings?
We used to have all these program level meetings 2 to 3 per week, with about 30/40 people on them on average.
That was just ridiculous waste ( in terms of stupid giveaways and engineering time wasted.)
