Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Raul Debut

More worthless Mary - Morale boost and clarity of future is most important out of this call - but an HR person making millions telling people to su-k it up to build the business after being part of running into the ground is insulting- I foresee max exodus of anyone good who’s still at dxc - they’re paying incompetence and starving the best people

“The median employee’s total annual compensation was $39,684”

They need to stop, think and react and look at streamlining the business
How can we save money - cancel sponsorship (Man United/Ferrari), cancel Exec bonus (They get it when employees are paid an increase)
Let their actions be seen (Giving employees what they are worth rather than paying for a logo - if they are seen to be playing nicely, they will get free publicity.

This is not leadership. Demanding the underlings find more avenues for growth in order to pay the salary increases and bonuses to the people who do not see that they should be driving revenue growth is totally backward.

Mass Exodus? LOL. Anyone under 55 that is Still here, is still here because they are deadwood... The better half (more like 10%) have already left...
The company has been toast for years. People to retire soon and whiners on this site are all that's left. Good Luck working for a real company. I doubt that you are capable.

: @qiy+1quaRg6R - think the CEO at top would welcome a rebellion in US, EU for them to have excuse a) not to give a ^%%^%^ about these works b) to outsource and offshore more from the West to cheaper cost centres in the Far East c) to do more Cuts in US, EU going forward along with more Share Buy back schemes to boost their profits and bonuses at the top d) sell more off the DXC Carcass to our competitors e) let existing contracts die at the time of renewing e) Expect a fire sale down the line

Bring back Salvino, he was bad but these lot are rudderless, don't have a clue, and will sink the ship.

Brace yourselves there just in it for thier millions and they know they have a couple of years, Mary is loving it now she doesn't have to satisfy Mike for her $5 million, it's easy money.

I found the tone, number of questions and how the most liked question had nearly 5000 likes, a good sign. Hopefully even DXC leadership can pick up something is wrong. However I agree with the other poster it felt like open rebellion is not far away

It was all:
"We're so excited to have Raul"

"I'm so excited to be here, there is tremendous opportunity"

"We didn't give raises because we didn't meet defined financial targets"

"We bought back shares to increase value to our stakeholders (as opposed to meeting EPS targets in order make our bonuses"

It was all corporate-speak blah, blah, blah.
This is the same kind of rhetoric that comes from rudderless companies, I've heard it all before. But hey, DXC Rewards are coming back. I've got a reason to care about my work product now! Spare me...

This was the most demotivating announcement that could have been prepared – priorities of the company has effectively shifted from taking care of their employees to feeding the board and the executives; where executives presenting dodge questions of employee compensations and take pride from stock buy-back and increasing compensation to stock shareholders. A cultural change that started with Mikes and now, Raul being there to finish it, before the company is sold out.

This culture is here is to stay despite naïve hopes this would only be temporary; the company would enter in permanent decline.

“The ship is sinking and DXC employees keep on painting it” – the difference is that the execs know the ship will sink (sold), so the company is milked as much as possible, whereas the hard-working employees bleed out of loyalty towards their customers / teams / colleagues.

If the intention of the communication was to motivate people to leave the company, it was a complete success.

Well from that Town Hall if you had optimism that things were going to change to can drop those ideas right now.
Based on the questions, including the low voted questions and the ones only asked right at the end it looks like DXC is dangerously close to a rebellion.

The all seem hopelessly out of touch with the employees, the Slido questions seemed blunter and more negative than ever.

Hard to see how you can turn DXC around when there are clearly so many unhappy workers.
