F Riverbed's HR/Legal cronies. The default package handed out is a complete insult to those who gave it their all. I hope you did right by you by not accepting their original cr-p offer. Shame on you.

I know someone who worked 3 years and got six months severance. Another who worked nearly a decade only to come away with ten weeks. Shame on Riverbed.
It's funny that RT keeps getting brought up here for the past several months. Far more than any other leader at RVBD. I wonder if anyone in the company respects him or even likes him. Most people I know think he's a joke and a blowhard who says a lot of things but doesn't deliver.
I accepted it (probably shouldn't have) but honestly it was like "F**k YOU I'm out" and I didn't want to argue with anyone. Which is....I KNOW....the wrong way to think... But the though of yet one more "one on one" with manager was more than i could stand. I was planning on pulling the plug myself in January....so they sort of did me the favor of giving me a package (as piddling as it was) and 5 months Cobra (which I heavily availed myself of for various surgeries / medical procedures and since they self insure - they paid for... so...FU RVBD). Also access to unemployment (yes I am looking) .
Has there been another round of layoffs ? The place can't be doing well. I mean - who wants "unified observability" anyway - other companies package it already in their enterprise code. I hear that they have job reqs open to replacing the senior experienced people that they laid off with cheap 12 year olds from either low cost States or Countries. More lackeys for RT to boss about. (is he still there ? what ajoke ) .
