Not sure if this matters and probably no surprise to most. Broadcom, Dell, and Tibco are all facing the same outcome as Citrix or will soon be dealt the same hand and LAYOFF across the board. Appears this is common practice from these horrible executives. Is it me or are these people all cut from the same fabric to destroy and leech blood from the companies then jump to the next host to su-k dry?

"The financials were good. This is just greedy and pathetic."

This actually makes the whole thing more alarming. If cost cutting was still needed even with beating the numbers by double-digits, I'd venture that the forecasting is still not looking great to be where they need to be. Investors are watching closely, and they clearly see that the market is not responding as they thought it might. Enterprise / strategic customer attrition is a massive threat, and we're going to see that in the next couple of years. How many renewals are coming up for 1 year? How many with reduced licenses? It's pretty telling.

This place has become a shitshow.

We beat our numbers, so let's get rid of the folks who support the product.

The best part of getting let go is no longer having to lie to customers about what is coming and what was taking place. Since you need customers for a paycheck. I can now be honest and feel so much better about myself. CSG is just going to have fewer customers as time goes on. And a few that needed help were screwed as no one other than me was working on it. They will not renew on time now, have outages and some may leave. But, not my problem. It is not Tom Kraus as much as that type of leadership across the board mostly. But I do feel he is a special level of an id--t. Glad the private investors will not make their money back.

The economic environment is extremely fragile right now. You are seeing cuts being made across the most prominent tech firms by thousands! Pay for techies is high, including benefits not indulged in other vocations. Some tech facilities are better than the hospitals the doctors and nurses work in. Better than schools the teachers have to educate in. Better than the food industry service men and women with proper space to eat or take breaks. I'm in no way saying don't sulk or feel bad. But flat out behaving like this is unfair only proves how good techies have had it in the last two decades. And how blind they have been to some natural types of hardships you may just have taken for granted or never cared to stop and think about it. I'm just here to remind folks that this is life, a roller coaster, and to welcome them to the downside of the ride. Sit and commiserate with your fellow neighbors and friends. It's not so bad here. Let it humanize you. Let it saturate your soul and encompass you spiritually. You may not be able to afford the lifestyle you are used to. But cutting out all that distraction is just what society needs. The hardships are where the best arts are created. Music is made. The raw stuff is what makes a poet write a poem. You will be whole and strong and brave again. That is the truth. And the following fact, you will be fine, bills and all.

The ultimate losers are the customers. EBITDA maximization via elimination of development & product/customer support is a very successful short term strategy, at least until folks catch on (hence the CSG elimination of mass customer facing events.)

TK blogged this on LinkedIn today. 12% were let go. He is pleased per his brag/blog. IDK how Elliott/Vista will ever get an ROI on the 16B buyout.

Tom Krause
CEO, Cloud Software Group CEO, Cloud Software Group

As I reflect on the first full year of Cloud Software Group, I am pleased with our progress and am highly optimistic about our future. Our focus on adding value for our long-standing customers while driving a much higher level of business discipline and accountability is bearing fruit—with customer retention and financial results for our first fiscal year as Cloud Software Group coming in ahead of plan. I look forward to reporting the details of our first fiscal year results next month.

I am proud of the team members that have embraced the challenge to fundamentally change the business approach for Citrix, TIBCO and the other businesses in the portfolio.

Now heading into 2024, my vision for Cloud Software Group could not be clearer. We want to build a $20+ billion diversified software company that develops, sells, and supports mission-critical products that serve enterprises globally. In 2023, we took a big step forward by establishing our business unit-led operating model and a set of corporate functions that form the Cloud Software Group foundation. We are now in a position to accelerate our BU strategic initiatives while continuing to harden and streamline the corporate functions that support operating our great businesses.

While 2023 was a highly successful year that saw a tremendous amount of progress for the business, we do see areas where we can further change and be even more impactful in 2024. Namely, I want us to:

• Continue to simplify our internal processes, programs, and systems with more streamlined and centralized operations.

• Better align our go-to-market functions and resources with the strategy of the business units they support.

• Further focus our product roadmaps on investing in the innovation that best meets our customers’ needs.

But change often means difficult decisions. While we have a number of areas of the business where our plans involve additional hiring to support our goals, they also mean a pragmatic look at those places where we simply need fewer or different resources.

As a result, today, we notified approximately 12% of the total Cloud Software Group workforce that their roles have been eliminated. However, for many of those roles, namely in our Operations, Security and IT functions, we are working with partners who will rehire many of those individuals to continue providing outsourced services to Cloud Software Group.

We are committed to building a foundation of sustainable value creation for our customers and partners. To those impacted, thank you for your contributions in the first year of Cloud Software Group. These decisions are never taken lightly, but are necessary to build the strongest foundation possible for the future.

Today i said good bye to the few really good employees. What’s the motivation to keep working?

I now have more work, no zeal, and stressed about the future of this company. I feel for those having to look for tech jobs now as tech in general is cutting employees.

If what I'm hearing about support is accurate, there should be no reason to even keep the location in Alpharetta after this.

yes as much out sourcing as possible even the headquarters cafeteria may outsource food prep. Heard layoff committee was even a outside company.

Next will be the company sale and buildings sold .

Beware Support will ne outsourced and will be alot worse.

It's not a shock; they need to find another location for employee staffing, maybe a 3rd world location in some place that has Internet. Glad I am gone as of today. In a final act of broken tools, Zoom would not work. Can't even fire me well. I feel for all others impacted and I even have empathy for my customers who have no idea the world of hurt coming their way.

Probably moving everything they possibly can in tech support (except what is needed to keep US gov't contracts happy) to APAC. Not surprising with TK's terrible MO at all...
