Primarily only seniors have garden leave requirements. That’s how he knows it’s for directors/MDs.
The rest of us may qualify for WARN payouts, but those are not Citi requirements, they’re statewide legislations
I think OP is a new joinee and has received this as awareness. No way this is how layoffs occur
How do you know it is for MD and D? Did you receive one? it looks to me like it's to make the individual aware of the policy. I would be surprised if they would send such things before the actual event
That notice is for MDD, so md and directors only. Jan 15 week is D day for all, regardless of rank.

The layoffs should be a wake up call to all in an election year. There is a big divide between the elite execs making tons of money and the rest. Citi was making 14 billion in profit per year but it wasn’t enough for the shareholders so the execs decided to fire 15% of the workforce. That is called greed. Republicans are pro greed. Dems are pro people. Big corporations plan to replace many workers with AI so they can make more money and pay less to workers. Open your eyes. I am a capitalist but I am pro people. I will vote blue. Good luck to all
OP please be more clear if you just saw this information generally somewhere and asked your manager out of curiosity/clarification or if you directly received this information specifically directed to you (US mail, email, etc). It's confusing to everyone and causing undue stress.
I have not heard anything about people being notified this week. I thought nothing was happening until next week, but the OP is disproving this....although how could the OP have received this text and be asking the question if he/she is being let go? Seems a bit obvious, hence the entire post is dubious.
