AI to be blamed for massive layoffs to come

It is not only Google. Just look at the numbers from 2023 compared to 2022, and the imminent layoffs across companies.

Well, let's see. Last year we were asked to cut Millions across each Region, and this year, the amount to be cut again is in the same ballpark. In fact, it is more. So, what does that mean? More layoffs! I made it through the last two, but if they come around again, I'll ask to be included as I am tired of T-Mobile and their bullsh-t lies, especially those being told by the so-called senior leadership team, who by the way, are anything but leaders! They are the true burden on this company, especially the two females that were chosen to lead the regions simply because of their s-xual orientation and not their qualifications, which are minimal at best. The company is more concerned about DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) than they are about being qualified to be in a position based on experience and knowledge. Instead the company is hiring and retaining people because of who they identify themselves as, which is causing the downfall of this company and many others, as well as the world itself.

AI is nothing new.

It's just a name change that d-mb executives think is cool to keep saying.

Last year's layoffs were supposedly "AI" related.

It's not AI related. It's reducing the highest cost to the business related. Highest business cost is LABOR. So cut labor and replace it with some nitwit from the Philippines or a contract with Amdocs.
