Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

NEW ADP PAYROLL

How many in HR getting laid off/losing their jobs because of the corporate decision to farm out payroll to ADP, a private company now handling all company payroll? This benefits Allstate corp because they likely pay a flat fee to ADP to handle payroll—no more employees wages, insurance, pensions & etc.

Whatever screws Allstate employees and solely benefits Tommy, the BOD, increases their bonuses and stocks—that’s all that matters.

My first pay check is also screwed up. I’ve been on the phone for over an hour this morning—not fixed. It’s been “elevated” and I had to upload payslip to HR since they no longer have access to payroll deductions lol. It will take up to another 5 days for someone in HR to even get back with me. (I was shorted by almost $100 and this would continue perpetually if not fixed. And, yes, you can view your payslip the Wednesday before payday—I think you’ve always been able to.)

@6iwb+1qob9GkR -How do you know? You can't view paychecks until Wednesdays now, what are you talking about?

I had some exposure to the “payroll” world at Allstate. Over the years they had ba----dized the system to process many payments beyond employee payroll, I can’t imagine that ADP will be processing random things… so I’d assume there will not be many jobs lost

Payroll is automated for any 21st century company these days.

It's more shocking that we still had a payroll department than anything else
