Latest round, August 2024, found out grade 12 and above are safe from layoffs. This means the management. They are going after those that are actually hands on making the products
Intel just offered my son a buyout offer, contingent on accepting by June 23. This is a group that's already down in numbers and having difficulty with timelines. Their work appears to be critical to chip power so I'm not sure what the end result would be. It does not sound good for a good part of the company, though. It looks like if you're not in the semiconductor arm of the company, long-term employment might be very dicey.
Almost a thousand in CPM.
Intel is dead until it gets rid of long term incompetent managers that feels like they are "untouchable", due to tenure. A. Beck in Round Rock is a great example of how Intel overpays leaders to "grind down" any subordinate that contradicts his views. Losing real talent and keeping people that provide little/no value for the company. Luckily for Mr. Beck, Intel does not give random breathalyzers.
241 from Folsom now in CPM. Next is JF after insights for April exit and to make Q2 results look good.
Intel should layoff high rank managers, they are sitting in meetings all day. They are single ponit of failures. Why intel pay people who can only sit in meetings without doing anything. Just cutoff 3 layers of managers under CEO.
FOCAL or whatever we call it now is pulled WAY in. why do you think that is?
Rumours has it that DCG financials are peachy this Q and restructuring is inevitable
Got to save 3B right?
Please investigate Intel wrong doing Tina Kotek. Foreign managers brought in their family members and people to push American out so they can easily hide their own problems and issues which will collapse American society later.
Intel receives TAX payer money (Oregon) to layoff USA citizens and hire H1Bs .
Gov. Tina Kotek gives Intel $90 million from state semiconductor fund
Layoffs are normal at any companies. Dont scare normal peope. Please bring on CEO, CFO, HR, high ranks leadershiitt coming layoff or jail time. That would be interesting to know.
What is yeast year, do you have an infection we should know about?
They’ll keep bringing in H1B to replace you!
You heard it here first... there will be layoffs in 2024. What was the last yeast year that Intel didn't layoff a group of people? It is part of the business model. As a minimum they will purge a portion of the older workers to save money regardless of whatever knowledge they lose with those people leaving.
Intel will likely remain in some form for a long time. Intel just has new peer companies, think Motorola, Texas Instruments, and Micron. They still make plenty of money and are good jobs. Intel just needs a CEO who can shut TF up and accept this. There is no way Intel will ever be in an industry leader role again.
