Layoffs in Webster again today.
Xerox has had poor leadership since paul allaire and has progressively been going down with each corporate leader put in place. Xerox was once a major company and was known over the world for it's exemplary products. Now you see the demise of this wonderful establishment.
Headcount trending to zero
When will the madness stop …
120 thousand employees worldwide in the 80's and 90's.
Another Christmas gift from Xerox Management
I believe a company has to give some advance notice, file some paperwork, and notify the plan before a 401K match has been canned. That takes time. Which likely means the 2023 4Q numbers are really bad.
Also, while there have been a lot of layoffs, unemployment numbers, especially in the tech fields, is still very low. Canning the 401k match is basically waving a white flag to the market that the company knows its in trouble and will not be hiring anyone. Such a move could drop Xerox's stock even more.
I got laid off in 2021 but was paid a subtantial severance under enhanced terms at the time. I was in the UK but it was lovely and almost completely tax free. Hopefully that'll happen again for those affected in and around Europe.
TK "retired" with a sweet golden parachute - a luxury not afforded to the unfortunate 15% about to hit the sidewalks.
15%, Q4 must have been a disaster
well I guess the press release answers most of the questions 15% of staff to be laid off..
Wow, what a group of disgruntled babies in here. Probably part of the blubber Xerox had to loose anyway. The people left working, are the people who are the most useful. Outdated knowledge or not ... smart enough to land any job when they choose to leave or there's no longer a job. Thanks for all the words of encouragement and advice. Su-k a lemon.
if you want a positive sign they did not makr a last minute cancellation of 401k payout before theball dropped
The tards in 111 have no idea what they're in for after working the same job for 20+ years. Application level coding with C, you think that is a transferable skill-set?
No way TK gone! Who will award the wallies!!!
Just read the published financials from q3.
I doubt we'll hear very much until the year end dust settles and they determine how the 4th quarter went.
Well …. Word has it two top leaders “retired” yesterday. JCS and TK.
Just the beginning of the year of “Making Work.”
Who’s going to put a bid in to buy X this year ?
