They just had a layoff Thursday Jan 25 2024. I know, I am one of them.

The off shore customer service has been recognized as a major problem since day 1 of Windstream taking over and yet nobody cares to address it and fix the problem. Every yearly meeting when the second layer of management pays a visit it is brought up. I’m sure nothing will change especially now as we position ourselves to be sold.

I don't think they can offshore anything more than they already have. The only thing offshore really does is answer phones. Every single trouble ticket I've had for the last 3-4 years has been me figuring everything out while offshore just takes notes!! They've been the biggest waste of money and the best cause of driving customers away I've ever seen. When I'm face to face with a customer, their first complaint is how bad our support is..can't speak English and can't understand the customers issue..

Any word on the Dalton Panda? How about his little sidekick, BL? Also how can I get warranty service on a Dell 7250 that the 'peep' sold me a few years back, it was NIB so should have a warranty?

Sunnu has a track record of selling companies.

To me, that means he needs to have data showing trends moving in the right direction. Revenue up, customers up, expenses down.

Reducing expenses results in increased revenue. If I don't have a Tony to pay, the money never leaves the income column to move to the expense column.

So, yes, I expect we will see additional layoffs and offshoring until there's enough lipstick on this pig to sell it.

Join the trend, coffee badge, quiet quit, act your wage. Look for other work, they will cut as many positions as they can. You, the hard worker, are no safer than those that skate/slack through the day.

Windstream doesn’t actually own any fiber.

I think with a new CEO comes new priorities. I expect a large organizational shuffle in 1Q24 which will include layoffs.

Construction has been a mess and needs new leadership or to be jettisoned and go back to contractors.

We have been hiring a lot of remote workers from high COL areas and paying really high salaries for them. I would not be surprised to see some of those projects shutdown and layoffs from those groups.

There will be a refocus in 2024 on legacy DSL areas (which have had zero attention for years) and fiber will be refocused on profitable deployments instead of the shotg-n approach that has left WIN trying to boil the ocean.

The one thing 2023 taught Tony, is no matter how good you think you are at something, there will be an asian out there better than you at it.

Will we finally quit spending money on construction who is always "too busy" to do anything when asked? Waste of money

No one should be surprised if the big Kinetic hiring bo-m under TT soon leads to a big layoff bust under PS.
