Hertz maintenance shop at the Alexandria ,VA location address 3800 Richmond HWY ,Alexandra,VA 22305
over loaded by mechanics 9 of them (4 have alto of experience) and 5 hired still in pr ovation less vehicle to service ,when IAD location has 4 mechanics ,so the lay off should start with those whom been hired at Alexandria location new one specially two or three of the working on one car try to fix it and they fail when it should by fix by only one mechanic.lack off experience only good on papers!why the been hired from the begging.some of them have friend brought them there.time to lay off them when business got better then hired the real mechanics.far is far.also many supervisors and drivers loaded at this location too,hertz corporation shold by aware off this before too late and go gain to bankruptcy.
Nationwide layoffs coming in the next 2 weeks as announce by Henry Kuykendall, EVP, in an operational announcement today.
“ Team members affected by the reductions will be informed by their supervisors and Human Resources in the coming week. Right now, we are identifying how many individuals will be affected and from which areas of the business.”
They will be laying some off the field representatives starting next week.
On 2/26/24 more than 60 employees were quietly laid off with little severance, I was one of them. I wasn’t offered a “transfer” to an “essential” position, I enjoyed working for Hertz greatly but I feel they are in trouble moving forward. This should have been national news!!
They are quietly closing HLE branches under radar and laying off staff with little severance without offering relocation or open positions. Not even taking into account some staff been with company over 10 years
its a sure thing not a rumor - in 4Q23 they offered VSP to those over 50 yrs. with 10+ years tenure (so mostly legacy employees from before the move to Estero). About 40% accepted offer and left by year end. Now they are doing layoffs.
VSP's have been offered and many who took them left on 12/31.
Expect 20% layoff in IT and Product . It’s started already
Q4 results should come out soon. It'll tell the story of how bad 2024 is going to be.
