I was laid off on 12/1.
I wasn't at Centene long and I feel lucky to have been let go. I wouldn't want to be a current employee right now.
But do you guys think we are pariahs for future employment? I hope no one sees the Centen name and want no association with it.
Don't worry about that. Many plans have their own problems right now.
No, the vast majority of employers see mass layoffs as a part of the current business cycle that the laid off employee has no control over and was not their fault.
You will have no problems with future employment. Don't bad mouth Centene in an interview--even if you know they know. Keep focus in how you do your best for members, providers, and the corporation and that when all work together health improves--good for everyone.
