Applause is the big up the butt scheme nowadays at Big Blue. Allstate raking in tax dollars off the backs of their employees for future tax breaks for the fat cats at the top disguised as a "reward system". A "reward system" that they can double dip into for even additional corporate write offs.
And these incompetent shills STILL lose hundreds of millions per quarter.
Nothing is even remotely honest or ethical with this company. Just a river of deflective and two faced sl--e.
Has everyone noticed that your applause budgets have been cut in half??? This half @ss recognition they give us has now been reduced. So sick of the cr-p. The executives are running the company into the ground making big bonuses while the people that do the work get continually crapped on!
They’d have some retention with offering a normal bonus as opposed to a gift card system that no one wants and doesn’t move the needle.
FYI every active board seems to have the same singular agitator poster. We have the same issue on our board at another company, uses the same vocabulary ect. Its probably someone working for the website to spur activity.
I woke up this wonderful Christmas morning and the first thing I thought of was how Applause is a Christmas miracle. Thank you Santa Wilson!
These responses are hilarious! Considering how well employees used to be treated at Allstate, it's pretty sad that a Fortune 100 company's biggest workforce perk is Applause pointing. At a time where Allstate could step up and be a true leader in the industry, their leadership is happy to just lump the opportunity into complacency and blame the world.
Applause is a wonderful holiday treat. I was telling my kids around the tree what a wonderful company daddy works for. They want to be no-fault claim reps like daddy when they grow up. God bless us all everyone! (especially our Wonderful Mr. Wilson!)

Applause is wonderful. This company is a great place to work. Be careful as the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. This company takes care of you. Remember that.
Kind of an odd thing to complain about. I've enjoyed the $1000+ in prepaid cards I've gotten from it this year. Holiday expenses covered 100% by them. You have to pay tax on it, so what? Not like the company would be using the money to give me a raise anyway.
I used to just send them all to my non-bonus eligible employees on the 1st of each month. $50 gift cards for $12 isn’t a bad deal.
I don't use Applause. I am not going to be overtaxed for being rewarded for going above and beyond. Especially considering I am underpaid for what I do anyways.
Applause isn't not perfect but far superior to none at all which is how it was for most areas previously. It's used a lot of companies.. sides you can just donate your points and blue will match it..
Complaining about Applause when there is real concerns is quite the stretch..
