Thread regarding Lumen Technologies layoffs

Something smells fishy

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/lumen-lumn-reportedly-needs-time-123100690.html

Between Aug 2022 & Nov 2023, Lumen sold 12 billion dollars worth of assets (Stonepeak, 20 State ILEC, & Colt). So.... why is there still close to 20 billion in debt.... and 100 million less cash in hand? What happened to 12 billion dollars???

T-Mobile acquiring Lumen would be the best outcome for everyone. Employees, customers, and consumers. The sooner the better!

prove the 30B in debt.
In 10 years, i don't recall ever seeing that much debt ever talked about.

12B is missing or pi---d away.

predicting a rough 2024 for this ill-managed hunk of junk.
if you all are smart you'll get out before they push you.

I don't think WOKE has anything to do with trying to bail out of debt. Seems like there is a political party that does not believe in forgiving debts. May theirs be he-l and torment.

"It's almost over for this useless woke Company."

If you're this far gone, just walk away from the company.

Oh, and if you think LUMEN of all places is "woke" you've obviously got your red hat strapped too tight.

They will never get out of this. I hope whoever takes over knows how to run it.

I think they're getting ready for more cuts in 2024, certainly believable based on that article. They announced there will be changes to various metrics, coincidence? I think not.

the reality is these assets sales may mean a reduction in debt but it also means a big reduction in future revenue and earnings. The amount of debt is still unsustainable in a higher for longer interest rate environment, especially given our risk profile and the cost of debt. It's almost over for this useless woke Company.

My friend, prior to the sales the debt was over 30 billion. It’s been reduced accordingly due to the assets sales. There’s a real genius pulling the strings as the sales were perfectly timed before valuations eroded.
