I love that the best picture they found of the new guy is him in his grey hoodie. And even on Linkedin they posted his his grey hoodie pic complete with updated color palette orange background and extra thick white ms paint magic marker accents added. Just makes me want to buy whatever he is selling!

The new CTO is well known in the industry... Not for the complexity of services in Lumen though... He is too much of a techie for the role. BTW, same for the CPO- and even worse of a fit. Both are growth oriented, and the CPO, more of a sales-y techie whose never really dealt with a transition from a pile of legacy.

We need leaders that can fix and grow. Without the fix, there won't be any growth. Good luck with that!

Sounds like doogie referred the new guy ... a long time friend ... and is retiring at 57 maybe 58 ... which is very possible at that CTO paygrade

Kate sure seemed to like D a lot

"Retiring" Uh huh. He looks to be in his late 40s. Im guessing he wasnt the right fit for the North Star direction of the company....and its a way to save face.

Quality hires, for sure!
Heck, KJ wasn't a quality hire, so it's hard to expect that she is able to correctlt evaluate talent and hire the best people. Why the board approves of her recommendation is beyond me.

Fletcher was let go some time ago, then Sham also didn't last 6 months ... now they have this new guy with an average tenure of 1-2 years ... so quality hires. So far none of them has done anything smart yet.

If you a technology person and end up a Lumen, its like finding out you got AOL as your ISP, only worse.
