It’s March or April but is it towards the end?

Managers receive comp letters on March 5. Communicate to teams March 6 to 14 and payout is March 15. Merit effective April 1.
My group is getting their numbers on 3/5 or 3/6 or so
Last year I received my comp email 03/01 and it became effective 04/01.
It’s odd. We usually get enterprise emails saying when our managers should be discussing merit and bonuses by now.
I want to say 03/08, would be bonus payout day. Why would payroll put in work to do off cycle payments. But then again 2024 is a crazy year for Cigna
Is there a reason why it is so late this year? The past few years we have always been alerted in late February and then the bonus payout always coincides with the actual pay day. I would have expected to be alerted Feb 29 and have bonuses deposited March 7th since that is pay day.
