Wow, bad info on this site - how shocking. It is Feb 16 and I have not been laid off, nor has anyone else at Xerox today. Maybe they are waiting until Midnight to call us and let us know?

Usually big ones happen on Thursday. My guess is the 15th and managers will be holding meetings the 16th going over the reorg’s.

Several states updated their WARN notice requirements during covid to include remote workers.
Example NY: see bullet 7i
https://dol.ny.gov/system/files/documents/2023/11/12-nycrr-part-921-draft-11.07.2023.pdf

I guess you should look for a new employment lawyer

“ WARN laws do not apply to remote workers”

I checked with an employment law friend of mine and unless you go into an office every single day, you could be classified as a remote walker. It is. Very difficult for anyone to prove they are not but if we are honest a lot of people have the benefits of WFH so you have to take what that means. The is why end February is a achievable date.

Its funny to think WARN means anything or that HR has any real policies anymore. they are a total joke

Layoffs will be q1 so February 16 is as good a guess as any

  • No way they gonna lay you off. Based on your above problem solving, they like the cut of your gib.

I think the 16th could be the deadline. But, it is against general HR policy to lay people off on a Friday. My feeling it was going to be the 20th that they tell IRIF and VRIF people. Would agree gone by end of month. DONE.

In some EMEA countries, some senior leaders were already notified to leave at the end of the first quarter.

Have you heard how many people volunteered, and how much that brought the 15% down?

16th seems early since the FAQ said that there would be more details in late February. Is that date from a reliable source?
