Chevron Is Coming Off a Record-Breaking Year. 2024 Could Be Even Better

  • Chevron produced a record 3.1 million barrels of oil equivalent per day last year, fueled by acquisitions and Permian expansion.
  • The oil giant also returned a record $26 billion to shareholders through dividends and buybacks.
  • It could smash both records in 2024.

As far as December 10, we were not that great and the message was "Do better" and we were dead last in almost every metric. Now maybe Santa Claus brought some miracle Xmass present to the leadership that they were able to sugar coat the 4Q earnings, still there will be not much for regular employees to hope for.

In the past it came out with the SETH. My guess is MKW wants to reveal it then so he can actively taste our tears when he says "no CIP for you"

I consider not being worst among peers a realistic goal.

Cool, now if someone can tell the powers that be to set realistic goals, both for the company and markets to anticipate, then employees won’t get sc--wed over when we can’t reach unrealistic targets….

Oh wait, maybe that’s the point.
