Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Where is DXC Actually Going ?

I am preparing for my retirement which is great. My wife and I have been able to accrue enough money to be able to retire. BUT. Before I hang up my laptop I have to ask where is DXC actually going to. For years senior executives have trousered huge sums of money whilst seeing business diminish. I have worked with some great people both within DXC I and with clients and I fear that the vector of travel for DXC is to the detriment of all. As a line of advise for people who will still be working there, consider what is the best possible option as opposed to the cheapest way to get something done.

@pja+1qTSsiY1 “ told you it was more complicated than you ever imagined”. If it’s that complicated then you didn’t do you job correctly you will be replaced in a heart beat.

Don’t kid yourself everyone is replaceable.

But why complain for years , leave ! If I didn’t get a little increase $1,500.00 in the last year I would have been gone sooner. I left a year ago anywayb

Hey please post the dial in for the upcoming town hall, would love to listen in!

They can afford a billion dollar stock buy back, but. can’t afford to at least give every person a bonus (would be about 7K US dollars ).

People man up and post your grievances on DXC posts on Linkedin , Facebook and X. If enough people do
it then maybe the pu--y analysts might ask at the next earnings call.

For the last 3 years had my 401K maxed out in the 1st 6 months in case I was laid off. Lucky I had saved enough to afford to do that.

You should t give a rats a$$ what happens to DXC as its not worth it

I still care about doing a good job, but not sure for how much longer. I am thwarted on a daily basis by slow and dam right stupid processes, colleagues who either don't understand or simply cannot be bothered. Topped by ineffective management who seem to have no clue what people are doing, and certainly no appetite to change it for the better. The clients seem equally clueless fighting themselves over which task to do first, while we all sit around waiting for them to decide. The company doomed itself years back when it stopped caring about it's employees, and thought it could get away with telling people if they wanted a pay rise they needed to go get a job elsewhere. Now it's having to recruit people at a premium and wonders why the people left to train these new intake have suddenly forgotten how to do their job. The people left are not financially reliant on DXC, having spent years wondering how long it can last - nobody lives a lavish lifestyle other than the top brass. So Mr DXC, is this the week I just say I just quit. Good luck working out what I do. I told you it was more complicated than you ever imagined but still delivered it didn't I, but you only care about your silly spreadsheet.

I retired a year ago and for some reason I care about the colleges I left behind that haven’t received a merit increase in what 5 - 6+ years and have exceed all the goals and saved DXC millions.

Best advice (which I haven’t been able to do) is take your money and run.

I am actually making close to what I did at DXC being retired and will be making more with my 401K / IRA requirement RMD’s in a few years.

Go figure 401K pretax assume you would be in a lower tax bracket. but that’s not how it’s working out for me. invest in ROTH’s if your young enough!
