For those recommending that everyone organize, sure. Try it. There are people who would love to have your job. Just go somewhere that offers remote work. You can be let go for any reason at any time. Poof. Your job may be eliminated. Then they’ll create the same role with a completely different title and hire your successor.
Those that want wfh should organize, see the impact you could manage/create and implement a counter offense. Demand hr listen or else, a walkout, if enough key staff could make a real imact.
Really living up to that mission statement….
Why are you seeking confirmation when you know the report is pulled monthly? And yes, it is.
It's monthly report. Can any manager confirm this ?
How they will take that report daily weekly or monthly ? I have to take care of my mom who is paralyzed for sometime now. My name never appeared on the report I often do wfh but go to office at least two weeks in a month. I never heard of any such reports lol
Swiping in once at the main entrance isn't going to cut it. If your desk is on a floor with a card reader, they're also monitoring those. How about just comply with the terms of your employment or go work somewhere else?
That’s a rule for everyone not sure about upper level executives. What’s hard to swipe in to the nearby office if available?
I noticed they are not applying this equally. I would not be surprised to see a class action lawsuit. Need somebody who was affected by this and start the litigation. The management needs a kick in the pants.
Go to nearby office and do a swipe in. I am based out of Chicago office. I did swipe in New Mexico for a month. I had to take care of my Dad last year.
Thanks for the heads-up that there will soon be a job opening in the Accounts department! I'll keep an eye open for it on BlueRecruit!
They come to your house and leave flaming bags of dog cr-p on your porch over and over until you go into the office.
Thank you everyone. Actually I posted this query. I works at account department my manager told me that they will terminate me after 2 warnings. Hope nothing goes bad for me.
Yes. Anything up to and including termination. Many cases (30+) in last few months. First your manager is told to address it. If it doesn't improve, you'll get a formal warning from HR. Next step is you get to stay home for ever.
I know of an instance where HR notified the employee that they had to RTO the following Monday or they would be terminated, and that employee did get terminated when they did not show up.
It could affect your yearly bonus. No other impact but your manager has to agree for wfh.
