If you have a doctors note saying you are unable to lift above your shoulders and most of your daily tasks require that are you able to still work that job or be moved to another?

if your hurt at work then they will give you an accommodation. However if your restrictions are from personal reasons you will need to take an LOA until full release. you can apply to other positions if your restrictions will not be an impact to the job...but otherwise until your fully released you will need to take an LOA. Its the legal system to thank for that.
Most likely they will find stupid things to coach you out of your job without getting in trouble for discriminating. Oh believe me, it happens.
Unfortunately if you get hurt off the job you are sc--wed. If management likes you they will make up a job for you. If they dont care for you one way or another you are sc--wed.
If you can’t perform an “essential function” of your job you will need to find an open position in the club where that is not an essential function. If there are no open positions that meet those restrictions then Sedgwick will put you out on a loa until a position opens up. If no position opens up and your loa time expires they terminate you.
Eventually they'll move you out. You're a liability.
They Make you sit at the front door and be a door greeter until your cleared to work
