Can people post when they start hearing whether or not they or their teams are moving over to HCSC?
I am curious if those people not moving over will be able to post for Cigna roles.
During the Town Hall, they said we will know in a few weeks?

According to feedback from current HCSC employees on glassdoor, they have a Pension.... Just wow. I thought that was extinct. Not too bad.
I just searched on glassdoor HCSC and searched for my Job title, They pay more for my same role at HCSC with higher bonus than what I get at Cigna. I hope I get to go to HCSC.
Hopefully the only MA people that are let go are the people in charge of the network and maintaining the website accuracy.
How many different departments are within MA? Who do you think they will cut out as far as hierarchy? Will they get rid of supervisors and keep senior supervisors? Get rid of leads and supervisors? Maybe the dept manager goes? Who typically goes? The people doing the work on the bottom?
I think that is what has me the most worried. I live in a state without an MA or HCSC office and am currently WFH. I have limited ability to move even given the option. I also like working from home and have for over 10 years now!
I think it’s reasonable that Cigna and HCSC will talk headcount/salary needs prior to closing, and any Cigna MA employees could be in these Feb or June dates and everyone else is “safe” and the work for our corporate overlords can continue. So weeks to months seems reasonable to me. But I’ve never gone through anything like this before.
And yes I have spent extensive time looking at HCSC’s site. Not sure what this will impact as far as WAH or WAH-Interim status if you’re in a state that HCSC hasn’t been in, or there isn’t a MA office like Nashville. That’s my top concern but they’ve pushed RTO hard it seems. The way I see it, I ideally have until Q1 2025 to continue working remotely and hopefully the job market then is less brutal than it is now to find something else.
Does anyone really think anyone will know who will transition to HCSC in a few weeks? This seems illogical to me and I also didn’t hear this on the Town Hall but I’ve read and heard this several times since the TH.
Why would they tell anyone? So that the people who aren’t going can go find new jobs? There is still money to be made and business to do.
Has anyone read about the management, structure, job positions and so on that HCSC currently has in place? The benefits are interesting. More paid holidays, pension plans, union, but suspected less PTO, less 401k match, etc. I’ve tried to look through their open positions to see what they require - WFH vs office, credentials (can someone with a lower level of education replace you?, for example), etc. Just curious of anyone’s thoughts.
HCSC also has a lay off page.
I have a feeling internal transfers will be allowed if Evernorth or Commercial desires them. If Cigna makes the policies, they can break them and make exceptions. I bet we will see SOME transitions. The key here is you regular folks aren’t supposed to post for these jobs.
Heard that it’s now 2/15 instead of 2/29, which would be 4 full weeks after the 1/18 job elimination notices.
Four people on my team were very candid about saying they were going to start looking for new jobs with another company. I think we will probably lose a good number of people because of the uncertainty.
Very interesting that two of my friends in MA who were contractors all this time were offered to be converted to FTE's this week.
Don’t fret, HCSC is super impressed by the work you’re all doing and want you, you’re not being held hostage in MA wondering if you’ll inevitably just end up staring at a chopping block at all.
It’s actually so ridiculous but yes, if I hear anything I’ll post up. Doesn’t sound like anyone will know for a few weeks at the earliest. Wonder if that’s going to align with 2/29.
Most but not all... you must be "identified" by HCSC to move over and that decision is happening in the next few weeks.
To me it sounds like Cigna MA sold all of us in the sales package? And we have no say. What happens if everyone starts finding new jobs and quit? Will Cigna be hiring people to replace us (if HCSC is expecting all of us as part of the deal)?
No internal transfers out of MA allowed.
Yes.
