Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Laid off in 6 months

I was laid off after 6 months. Loved my role and all the folks who worked for me and who I worked for. I wish I had known more about Windstream before I accepted. Job search has been very difficult.

It was a white collar role...like I said, I wish I did a bit more digging before I took it. Seems like Windstream has not been focused on long term career growth for anyone in a long time. Avg time of service is a year or less for people over the last few years.

I am curious what departments you people are in. I’m assuming blue collar field workers?
Any corporate rep here?

Hope you did not leave a stable job to come to WS! I remember they hired 6 Ops managers one year and only kept them 6 months before RIF-ing those postions.

Sorry to hear. I urge everyone to check here and glassdoor before considering windstream. It’s a revolving door not a long term career.
