Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

Cigna Leadership admitting that they did a poor job with Medicare and didn't know what they were doing.

With the sale of Medicare and Care Allies, this shows us and the rest of the world that they made poor decisions and could not achieve it's goal to expand the Medicare Business.

Quote from FAQ document posted today:
"Taking this step will enable The Cigna Group to drive meaningful value across the enterprise and for all our stakeholders, while positioning our Medicare business and CareAllies for continued growth and innovation as they continued to service the needs of their customers under HCSC ownership"

I interpret that as Cigna Corp couldn't figure out how to manage Medicare business effectively and sold us off to another company that might have a better chance.

HCSC bought a piece of cr-p. Hope our good employees transition over and enjoy what it means to be directed and function under true leadership that takes vision, metrics and implementation seriously.

David wasn't too happy that he couldn't milk Medicare anymore. So he sold it off rather than roll up his sleaves and put in the work. I'm surprised Brian Evanko got promoted, Medicare was under his control. I guess we all now know why Aparna left/ got fired.

I think that’s a generous interpretation. Cigna execs would never admit incompetence.
