We’ve all signed NDAs so there aren’t a lot of details available but there is another round coming. This one will cut even deeper. Fall rush will be extremely difficult and very short staffed. This is a test to force colleges to EA as it will show an “easy” way for students to get their books versus having to come in to shop for their materials. Your store WILL be profitable or it will be forced to EA or closed.
If you stay and are shocked by the changes, this falls on you. We are sounding the alarms, it’s up to you to make a change or wait to get the boot. Good luck to everyone remaining. When the music stops, the end is near.

I was laid off Feb. 9, 2024 from Follett. Worked for over 20 years. Got a call back for another position and turned it down. This layoff revolving door is shut closed.
They left one team member to handle the loose ends / open items but I’m sure they’re doing a second round because 1 designer and one retail marketer is not going to cut it for all the schools. Wonder if they’re getting rid of these kind of services altogether

They filled Corporate with top heavy high paid nothings, with no regards, and now here they are laying great hardworking people off. They need to find a new leader who will legitally pause hiring, open the books and find out whose worth keeping at salary’s $200,000 and above!

Any word on standalone markets? Still a CM here, can’t imagine adding this load to a CM3, but I’ve been worried everyday since they told me I was keeping my job last year.

Calls are happening today. Store Market Leaders and CM3s. Either getting more stores or getting laid off. Not sure if anyone below that level is getting affected. Hopefully someone will post soon if they know

Yep! Was invited to a all-department teams call with an hours-ish notice and told “people are getting laid off…not you lol, we’re talking to those people individually, but your boss will tell you soon about who got the boot”
