Don't rely on a CIP and you will never be disappointed. I really think you all are going to be pleasantly surprised though.

LTIP multiplier was 0.79 and CIP will not be less… probably similar.

This is the new normal folks, only thing that can increase bonus going forward is higher oil price. Management has so grandiose plans for increasing MCBU production and exploration success that it is completely unrealistic.

CIP factor email should come out Monday morning after earnings come out Friday

Can verify structure 2%. It’s already baked into job posting salary ranges. Look for a posting in your PSG. Compare high/low ends of salary range to current ranges in your compensation tab in Workday. Spot on 2% typically rounded to nearest $100

I think it will end up being a pat on the back and a “let’s hope for better year next year”.

New salary structure is determined by industry peer group payroll surveys, at least that’s what HR tells everyone. (I think it’s a bit of that plus some Hocas Pocas). Whereas the CIP is supposedly based on a metrics score card formula. (I think it’s a rigged system which was previously budgeted. The BOD has already determined the maximum payout. The total Dollar results from all the BU scorecards are added up and whatever the remainder is, they back calculate the residual amount and come up with the corporate factor).

It’s been announced January 31st or February 1st last few years.

The 2% structure is a given with all the supervisors who administered the PD tool and gossiped about it to everyone. CIP is a mystery but can’t be lower than .7 which was a bad year. CIP will be announced after board meets this week and town hall next week. That’s been the pattern

We officially find out in early February what the CIP will be. Either the same day or or a few days afterward, we will know what the salary structure will be.

Now that PB has masterfully cushioned the blow with advance warning nobody should be surprised or over react to the news.
