Windstream has been so good at making our lives miserable for years that some of us see the possibility of being laid off as a blessing. I'm not exaggerating. I would be happy to be laid off and I know others who feel the same. How badly do you have to sc--w up as a company for your employees to start feeling this way?

Yeah, X years at a company that zombie-walked out of bankruptcy and struggled to find a buyer is not the kind of experience we want to brag about in interviews.
No sh-t. I have applied for numerous jobs and currently have my resume on indeed. No calls or emails. Its not something i can gloss over since i have been here a few years and it would be a gap in employment. I thought with the previous severance i would be able to last until i got a new job now they have taken that away as well. These people have no shame or morals. What a horrible company we work for 🖕🖕🖕
I got the notice last week. I have mixed emotions. The company is a mess and always has been but there are some really good people stuck there. I will probably be better off after this is all over. I didn't really HAVE to work there but the extra money has been easing me into retirement. There are some folks there that I will miss though.
Be happy you missed out - this company is a red flag on a resume.
You dodged a bullet because it’s a sh*tty place to work. The exec team is good at two things: bad decisions and being delusional
I've recently been interviewing to join this company and was just rejected...feel like I just dodged a bullet after hearing about all these layoffs and the past bankruptcy.
