Thread regarding AIG (American Intl Group Inc.) layoffs

Corebridge 10% Layoff coming to a theater near you

With Annual performance out managers are lining to talk to their employees. Underlings will be targeted first then followed by next and next. STI will be cut to a bad size. Managers have been asked by management to critique the employees badly and make them feel like left over sh-t.

I was one of the ones let go. I was good with the 3 day notice. It was all handled well. Severance is the standard with an extra 2 weeks. Very fair. I am glad to be done with that place but, I will miss many of my co-workers... several of those were also cut.
I already have something else lined up.

In IT, I heard 12 in CB were terminated last Friday. Not sure if this was 10% of CB IT, but it did include a few people I knew. They were given about 3 days notice.

Rumour has it direct managers going to take vacation before the bug event. Their superiors will handle the situation.

I have not heard a thing. My manager said no layoffs. Are they telling the truth? We will find out soon enough.

Any further news on this topic? Are they laying off before or after STI? Is this to save Accenture employees so that remote roles will fill in.

Looks like this is happening for sure. Management going to have a party for this.

When the company lays off the folks based on age and ethnic discrimination they are going to save a ton from cutting bonus, medical, 401 k employer contribution, profit sharing etc. So 10% layoff at corebridge makes sense.

This entire company is a hot damn mess! It’s a sinking ship . Peter has shredded this company to pieces. The clients are complaining about poor service/lack of service every day . They are tired of this foolishness and the results will show when they start leaving. Accenture just can’t get it right . F- - - the STI! We need a decent raise. The 1 and 2% isn’t keeping up with inflation. It’s doesn’t matter if you are a top performer the most you will ever get is 3% which is rare. The STI is useless and not enough to compensate for all the bull - - - - the remaining employees have to deal with.

So much debt overhang, if they have excess, it'll be toward stock buyback.

Any news or updates from employees about the layoffs. They could be hiring one of the private HR companies if they want to do anything without breakage of reputation in the social media.

People need to stop talking out of their a-s. Stop pretending like you actually know something about bonuses or layoffs. Stop spreading conspiracy theories. Every company measures performance. Every company looks to pay their higher performers more than those who do little or nothing. If you have been “quiet quitting” why are you surprised to not get your full bonus? Good for CRBG for figuring out who the deadbeats are and hopefully getting rid of them.

Somebody posting about this being BS doesn’t understand what is happening inside the organization. Just wait and watch. Do they even realize that funding has been cut for cost savings. There are other management talks that has been brewing which at short term will have negative implications on the employees. Some incompetent managers have been trying to save the a-s of Accenture at the cost of their employees.

I'm not sure about that percentage but, I will say what I have noticed is the forcing of Accenture doing all tasks as many of my co-workers review and have become idle.
The others, like me remain very busy.
That looks bad to me.

All of these comments are complete BS. No talk of cutting 10%. STI pool has been funded nicely compared to any recent years. Only partial truth is that there will be more “partially meets” ratings this year as senior has been challenging their directs to really assess if their people have met all of their objectives this year, not to look for people to layoff, but as a way to differentiate and reward top performers. They really want to pay for performance now and not have everyone just get the same percentage of their target STI anymore (everyone in my team got the same STI percentage of target last year, even the top performers).

Layoff will happen before STI is given thereby saving for the company. Bad rated employees will be chased like the animals in the forest by the so called poachers in this case managers. Management seems to have put the managers under their knees.

Are the overall ranking being considered for laying off employees. Hearing corebridge wants to consider itself like a Wall Street Goldman when it let go employees. Management has promised managers that they can the STI from their underperforming members and use it for their own needs.
