Is it true that next Thursday we can expect more layoffs? If so, does anybody have an idea which depts are going to be hit? How many people?

Combining the company again, so my guess is it will be an ongoing every Thursday thing till they figure out all the rolls that are duplicated. Sad part is, they'll keep their favorites whether they're worth a cr*p or not.
I think it’s because the money is decent for some positions. Like a retail manager. You can mess around with other employees, and brown nose your way to promotions/keeping job, don’t have to do much to be honest, easy job. Same with some in operations and same for some wfh positions.
I do not know how (or why) you employees put up with and deal with the notion that you might not have a job come every Thursday. I could not do it. I would search out a employer that respects me and I can trust not to drop me like a hot potato every week. The stress is ki-ling you all silently, if you let it.
I would assume no, from my contacts that survived yesterday, everyone is thinking that if they make it to February no more layoffs for a couple months, but who knows. Gotta lighten the load, to show a potential buyer that its a good deal to buy....
