I heard management will have dashboards to track hybrid attendance

Here comes the choke chains…..

This is the surest sign LT has know idea how we work. Their whole job is to walk around and to watch people type. If they can’t see people type, what does LT do?

The other aspect is the value of corp real estate. They need a certain regular attendance to maintain that value.

The “collaboration” excuse is bullsh-t.

It’s not that much of a concern to me that company management will monitor employee attendance of any kind. What I want to know is exactly how they’ll use this information and if disciplinary measures will be applied equally to everyone, without exception.

You're 100% correct about recruitment. Was on one of the many recruitment teams, and we got less than 10% acceptance on offers. Chevron cannot compete with tech salaries, and no WFH options is outdated.

If you’ve done college recruiting you know the talent pool is shifting away from oil and gas. Like it or not, the company’s ability to hire and retain college graduates is key to pushing the company forward.

The current crop of students have graduated high school remotely and their colleges have adapted to remote learning as a result. This policy will only reduce our ability to recruit and retain.

Stop sending payroll by direct deposit, and supervisors will start handing out paper checks instead—in person. Until employees get accustomed again, you’ll be paid by the number of hours you put in at the office.

There was a note from new energies LT today about it….in CNE they had the wonderful idea of having an open space, people has to fight for a cub/office every day, you have to carry all your need on your bag everyday…what a way to motivate people to go to the office

Already confirmed. Starting with February, supervisors will be able to monitor office attendance of their employees as well as how long have they stay connected on their lap tops and what application they use every period.
