Considering that layoffs rarely last just a day, should we assume we'll be seeing more cuts tomorrow? I'm worried enough that I'm having trouble sleeping.

There won't be a return to office for those IT folks in the Austin area. The north side technology center was closed. So no space left to house the number of current remote IT staff.
There certainly could be more. Probably not until early Q2. In 3-6 months, once the dust from the current downsizing has settled and there's a few more months of financials to consider, a fresh look will be made. If things look promising, hiring will restart. If not, it'll be either status quo or further reductions. Expect a 100% return to office in the next few months. That might cause a few more people to leave on their own OR current layoff situation will cause those ordered to get back to SSC to do so without complaining too much. First quarter earnings will help predict the direction.
It's all about corporate survival, profit and adjusting to the market conditions. No one is exempt from layoff should the home improvement and other retail markets continue to decline.
I find it funny that all of the up voted ones here are for people that just want to believe that they're safe from eating a bullet 😂 don't take anyone's comments in any of these boards including mine seriously, we have no evidence that these folks even have accurate info when literally no one knows what's gonna happen tomorrow or next week. But whatever helps yall sleep I guess
Yesterday was the only day for now until they train the outsourced roles.
There shouldn’t be a next one. We had to reorganize and restructure to PREVENT something like this to happen again. They over hired like craze when we shouldn’t have. I just got off a call with other managers and our vp and we are talking numbers and how to prevent this from happening. Majority of orgs have been great with keeping our headcount to a minimum. We are bracing for another lackluster year in terms of revenue.
Looks like that was all of it. Cut some redundancy, middle managers, and infosec (which was over leveraged).
Who's your VP? And how long until the next one?
Yesterday was the only day. VPs confirmed in open meetings.
