Anyone get their severance from being laid off Jan5? How long does it usually take?

i got laid off in late September although my last day was not until 12/01 and last day with the company was officially 12/08/2023. I signed the agreement on 12/09/2023 as soon as i got it that day, had to wait for the 7 day revocation date (12/16/2023) they give, (in case i changed my mind), and did not receive the lump sum severance until 2 pay cycles...so my co-workers who also got laid off and I did not receive it until 01/05/2023...hope this helps

Last day was December 29 but on the termination form I signed said Jan 5th. Signed my forms Jan 6th still have not gotten anything
I was notified of my lay off sometime late Oct. They had me working until December 1st and paid through December 8th. I received my severance package on January 5 in a lump sum. Hope this helps.
You receive severance immediately or do you continue working after jan 5? I didn’t know there were layoffs this year.
