Thread regarding Gainwell Technologies layoffs

WFR for January

Are the WFRs still occurring or done for the week? I’m not hearing of anyone where I work, but they usually tell us. Sadly, I have to get my info from this site.

Any WFR news? Enough about Karens and Kevins.

I worked with Karen Shields and I can honestly say she was the worst leader I have ever been around. She had no concept of the value of people. All of us were just a number.

The only reason she is contracted by Gainwell is because she su-ks so bad that no reputable company will hire her.

Definitely a Karen…

Karen Shields…hahahaha. She was a terrible leader. She had no idea how to lead. Fitting that she will help Gainwell fail.

There was a round of layoffs last week. This one appears small (30-40) compared to the other rounds. This was a mix of resources in different organizations. In addition, other groups are being restructured. GWT is unable to deliver on new projects sold and struggling to deliver in almost every existing account. The only people safe are those on the Executive Leadership Team...at least for now.

I would think that too much blood has been spilled. I'm sure the potential employee's in India read the same information on the Internet as we do. GlassDoor, Indeed has a bunch of negative stuff just as this site does. What's the first thing you do when you see a potential position your interested in? You read the company reviews....

They are having trouble getting people hired in India quick enough. That may slow down the layoffs a little bit. But they are still going to happen.

And GW continues to get into hot water with almost every account. Constant corrective action plans and missed SLAs.

If you choose to stay I think it is advisable to plan on being laid off. The layoffs are going to continue.

What a poor company to work for. Their reputation has to be tanking.

I haven't heard or seen anyone leave in the last few weeks. But GW is a big company with multiple offices. Last years 401K match was done in February so you'll find yourself lucky if you here after the next match. If lucky is the word to use....

From what I’m hearing, the next round of large scale layoffs will occur at the end of February. Not sure which departments will be impacted.

They are still happening. It’s been a bloodbath.

I don’t know exact numbers but they are significant. Over 1000. Probably close to 2000.
