Please don't let yourself get lulled into a false sense of security. This is far from over. This round is maybe done - and that's a big maybe - but I'll bet you we'll be seeing many more in the coming months. The fact is we have lousy leadership and as long as they are in charge, we will not be safe from layoffs.

This is typical Corning, they have been doing this for decades. I worked for Corning years ago and they were doing this. Would never encourage anyone to work for this company located in such a small town. They are the only game in town. Nice place to come for a few years, get some experience and then get out.
Funny enough, directors in EMEA still fire employees and protect their pensions and mortgages pointing the fingers at hard workers whose only fault is to be managed by incompetent yes men!
Nobody should ever feel safe in this company unless your WW or his top cronies . They will lie through their teeth and say everything is great , then announce more layoffs the next day
